According to traditional Balinese mythology, the Goddess of witchcraft, Rangda (Balinese: ᬭᬗ᭄ᬤ, meaning 'widow') is the Queen of the Leyaks (demons) in Bali. Terrifying to behold, the child-eating Rangda leads an army of evil witches against the leader of the forces of good.

However Rangda is not all that she is perceived to be.  Like many independent thinking, wild women, she has been vilified and demonised by a patriarchal society.

When I perform as Rangda, I am a proud to embrace my heritage as a mixed race British Indonesian person. I am PROUD to be a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, a plus size Burlesque performer and  K!NK positive, alternative model. When I perform as Rangda it is in reverence to my own Wild Woman spirit, and in defiance of the patriarchy and societal norms we are all held to; a call to arms for anyone who has been deemed different, a Freak, or an outsider.

My artistry celebrates body positivity and self-expression, encouraging others to embrace their unique beauty.
